Motivasi


Sumber media dan figur yang dapat memberikan motivasi kepada saya adalah:
1.      Dari film yang berjudul “ Cloudy With a Chance of Meatball
Film tersebut adalah film animasi 3D, tokoh utama dari film tersebut adalah Steve Flint. Dia tinggal di kota yang terisolir bernama Swallow Falls. Sejak kecil Steve bercita-cita untuk menciptakan suatu benda yang dapat bermanfaat bagi orang-orang di kotanya. Saat dia masih sekolah di SD, dia mencoba mencari solusi dari masalah yang sering dihadapi oleh teman-temannya yaitu kebiasaan lupa merapikan tali sepatu. Steve membuat semprot sepatu kristal yang dapat di gunakan dalam keadaan terburu-buru, namun sayangnya saat dia memperkenalkan hasil karyanya kepada teman-temannya, semprot sepatu kristalnya itu dapat membentuk sepatu di kaki namun tidak dapat di lepas dari kakina. Steve ditertawakan seluruh teman-temannya sehingga dia sangat malu.
Meskipun demikian dia tidak menyerah begitu saja, dia tetap berjuang membuat berbagi barang yang dapat bermanfaat bagi orang lain. Dengan dukungan orang tuanya Steve tetap berjuang menciptakan beberapa penemuan-penemuan. Ketika dia medapat hadiah jas laboratorium dari ibunya, dia sangat senang dan bersemangat untuk melakukan berbagai percobaan. Penemuan dia yang kedua adalah pengendali TV jarak jauh,akhirnya penemuan Steve yang kedua juga gagal. Dia sering mendapat ejekan dari teman-temannya dan orang-orang di kotanya. Steve selalu mengasingkan diri di laboratorium pribadinya, dia tidak pernah merasakan dunia luar dan tidak pernah juga bermain dengan teman-teman sebayanya. Teman-temannya selalu mengatakan orang aneh kepada Steve ketika dia datang. Steve tetap senyum ketika teman-temannya mengatakan seperti itu. Penemuaan Steve yang ketiga adalah obat penumbuh bulu, namun ketika dia coba obat tersebut di kepala ayahnya. Namun obat tersebut terlalu banyak menumbuhkan bulu, tidak hanya di kepala tetapi juga di seluruh muka. Steve tetap saja kukuh pada tujuannya, dia tidak menyerah begitu saja.
 Hasil penemuaan Steve yang keempat adalah mobil terbang, ketika dia mencoba hasil penemuaannya itu di pelabuhan. Sayangnya penemuaan Steve itu juga mengalami kegagalan dan mobilnya masuk kedalam laut. Sekian banyak kegagalan yang dialami oleh Steve, dia tidak pernah lelah untuk mencoba dan mencoba. Steve menciptakan mutasi hewan, hewan tersebut adalah burung tikus. Namun diapun mengalami kegagalan. Sampai akhirnya seluruh warga kota menganggap Steve sebagai pembuat kekacauan karena setiap hasil penemuaan yang di buat Steve selalu berakhir dengan kekacauan. Ketika itu Steve sangat sedih karena ayahnya juga sudah tidak menyemangati dia. Ayahnya menyuruh Steve untuk membantu
menjaga toko keluarga yaitu toko alat pancing. Steve hanya terdiam ketika ayahnya berkata demikian, meskipun Steve menjaga toko ayahnya. Saat ayahnya pergi dia secara diam-diam tetap melanjutkan penemuanya yang terakhir yaitu alat pembuat makanan yang berbahan pokok dari air.
 Dia selalu bersungguh-sungguh dalam melakukan percobaannya. Akhirnya hasil penemuaan Steve yang teakhir telah selesai dan siap untuk diuji coba. Namun ketika di mencoba alat tersebut di rumahnya, listrik di rumah Steve tidak cukup untuk mengalirkan listrik kedalam alat pembuat makanannya tersebut. Sampai akhirnya Steve menyusup kedalam tower listrik di kotnya, dan dia menyalurkan kabel dari tower listrik ke alatnya dan akhirnya alatnya tersebut dapat menyala. Namun hasil penemuaannya mengalami guncangan yang sangat besar dan terbang tak terkendali. Steve terbang bersama dengan hasil temuaanya di antara banyak orang. Karena pada saat itu sedang ada peresmiaan pabrik sarden oleh wali kota. Steve kebingungan dengan keadaan yang sedang dia alaminya. Akhirnya dia terjatuh dari hasil temuannya namun alat tersebut tetap terbang sampai keluar angkasa. Seluruh warga kota menatap Steve dengan kemarahan, namun suatu kejadian yang mengagumkan terjadi.
Ternyata hasil penemuaan Steve berhasil dan menghasilkan hujan makanan. Steve sangat senang akan hal tersebut, dari kemarahan warga kota menyambut hujan makanan dengan bersuka ria. Steve merasa bangga dengan hasil penemuaannya itu, dia berteriak serta terharu. Akhirnya dari sekian kegagalan yang dia alami, namun jika dilakukan dengan sungguh-sungguh akan berhasil.
Kesan saya terhadap film tersebut adalah :
Saya sangat terinspirasi dengan segala percobaan yang dilakukan oleh Steve. Intinya segala ketidak mungkinan namun jika kita bersungguh-sungguh, kita akan mencapai hasil yang kita inginkan. Meskipun mengalami berbagai kegagalan Steve tetap mempunyai sebuah tujuan mulia dan akhirnya diapun dapat menciptakan sebuah penemuaan yang dapat bermanfaat bagi orang lain. Dalam setiap kegagalan Steve dapat selalu merasakan keberhasilan, meskipun dia mendapat berbagai konflik sosial dengan seluruh warga di kotannya. Inspirasi yang saya dapatkan dari film ini adalah kita harus selalu konsisten dengan tujuan awal kita. Kita diciptakan didunia ini untuk segala tantangan yang ada, oleh karena kita harus dapat menemukan keberhasilan di antara berbagai tantangan yang kita hadapi.

2.      Dari guru SMA saya, beliau bernama Ahmad Abunawi,S.pd
Beliau adalah salah satu guru senior di SMA N 1 Bangsri. Sebagai sosok seorang guru di sekolah, beliau juga menjadi sosok seorang ayah bagi sebagian besar alumni SMA N 1 Bangsri. Salah satunya adalah saya, saya adalah salah satu alumni yang sangat mengagumi sosok figure tersebut. Pak Abu sudah mengabdi puluhan tahun di dunia pendidikan. Beliau adalah orang yang sangat dermawan kepada setiap orang. Bahkan beliau sering berkujung ke rumah siswa-siswa yang mempunyai masalah dalam pembelajaran disekolah. Sehingga hampir seluruh siswa SMA N 1 Bangsri sangat menghormati beliau.
Beliau mempunyai pedoman hidup untuk selalu membantu setiap siswa maupun alumni SMA N 1 Bangsri yang mempunyai semangat belajar serta mempunyai keluarga yang tidak mampu. Meskipun beliau sudah biasa dengan sebutan kakek namun semangat beliau masih seperti anak muda yang berusia belasan tahun. Kelas intensive di SMA N 1 Bangsri dapat berkembang dengan baik itu semua adalah kerja keras beliau. Di lingkungan pemukiman, beliau sering bermusyawarah dengan tetangganya untuk membangun sebuah Madin. Namun beliau sering dibantanh oleh beberapa warga. Beliau tetap melanjutkan segala pemikirannya, akhirnya Madin di pemukiman tersebut telah dibangun.
Sekarang madin tersebut sangat bermanfaat bagi seluruh anak-anak kecil di sekitar pemukiman tersebut. Di madin tersebut mengajarkan tentang pendidikan Agama, bahasa Inggris serta bahasa Arab. Fungsi lain dari madin tersebut adalah untuk tutorial siswa intensive SMA. Akhirnya warga pemukiman disana merasa malu dengan apa yang telah mereka pikirkan tentang pak Abu.
Kesan saya terhadap sosok figur tersebut adalah:
Saya sangat terinspirasi dengan beliau, beliau selalu membantu orang tanpa mengharapkan imbalan. Setiap saya bertemu dengan beliau, beliau selalu memberikan motivasi kepada saya. Itulah yang membuat saya kagum dari beliau. Mungkin jika saya tidak mempunyai guru seperti beliau saya tidak akan kuiah di SSE seperti sekarang ini. Beliau mengajukan bantuan kepada sekolah untuk biaya kursus saya selama 9 bulan. Setiap ada info beasiswa beliau selalu datang ke rumah saya. Beliau selalu berpesan kepada saya untuk selalu bersemangat dalam menggapai cita-cita saya.

Reflection


My Reflection for visiting EmbassyAustralia and Singapore
Australia Embassy

Exactly when my lecturers of IELL  make a day tour in Australia and Singapore Embassy. I and my friends gather in SSE first before the bus arrived. My lecturers divided us into some groups. I got the last group and I was in second bus.Australia Embassy located in Jl. H.R.Rasunan Said Kav C 15-16 Jakarta Selatan. That day was amazing day for me, because I could get in Australia Embassy. But in the first door of Australia Embassy I was afraid enough, because the securities checked all of my body. But after I got in Australia Embassy, I was very amazed, because that my first time went to  theembassy. Inside of the embassy  there was a guide that helped me to entrance in the big room like cinema. Over there was very cool like in SSE. In the first meeting I directly got a cup of coffee and some cakes.
I got many information’s from that embassy such as culture, lifestyle, religion, national cuisine, education in Australia. In that place I have duty to make a note from presentation over there. The firstpresenter presented about culture, people, lifestyle of Australia.The first presenter was from Philippine same with Mom. Luz. He explained if culture in Australia was very combination. Because of more than 43%  of Australia’s citizen are from other countries in the world. So that’s way in Australia were many cultures and ethnics. Although in Australia there were many ethnics but the people over there always respect each other. That was a special culture from Australia, and also Australia is a product of a unique blend of combining traditions and new influences. The religion of Australia was different with Indonesia. Generally Australia was Kristine country, because 64% of people in Australia were Kristine. ButAustralia has no official state religion and people are free to practise any religion they choose, as long as they obey the law. Australians are also free not to have a religion. Australia has 8 states and 2 territories.
In Australia Embassy there was watching movie documenter together. That was very interested for me. Nation language in Australia was English and also the language as substance of citizen gatherings. But other language were respected by all citizens. More than 15% citizen of Australia use other language when they at home. Common language that almost used by citizen were Italia, Yunnan, Kenton, Arabic, Vietnam and Mandarin. Australia has dynamic art and music. Many good movies were created in Australia such as mission impossible, matrix, etc. Movie was most popular, because every year 70% of people in Australia always watched the movie. About sport Australia was not bad,the popular sport in Australia was football. In Australia Embassy I also got information about scholarship, I was very interested in that section.I think that’s all of my note about Australia, I am sorry for my mistakes.
Singapore Embassy
           
            After I visited Australia Embassy with my lecturers and my friends. I  continued to visit Singapore Embassy because the location was not far away from Australia Embassy. So the trip  did not need much time to arrive there. But before I and my friend looked for mosque to pray first. I and my friends did not do Friday pray because the driver of our bus was late to pick I and my friends up in Australia Embassy. After I had a middle prayer with my friends we continued our trip to visit Singapore Embassy.Singapore Embassy was located in Jakarta Selatan also, after I and my friends arrived in that place. I directly took off from the bus and got in Singapore Embassy. But I was confused, because in Singapore Embassy the checking for getting in different with Australia Embassy. In Singapore Embassy just showed my ID cart and I directly could get in. After I got in, I sat beside my friends. And waited for the presenter, I think in Singapore was different with in Australia Embassy.
            The opening of presentation was, the presenter introduced about Singapore location. And based on that presentation, Singapore was small island country. The large of Singapore just 680 km2 and the people of Singapore just 4,5 million. Domination of people in Singapore was Chine ethnic,  the population consist of 77% Chine ethnic, 14% Malaya ethnic,  7,6% India ethnic, and other ethnic 1,4%. Although Singapore was little country but Singapore was one off the rich country in the world. Government of Singapore focus in Nation Building, so almost the children in Singapore were smart and clever. But Singapore also tried to improve the culture and wanted to increase it. The culture in Singapore was dominated by Chine ethnic because Chine ethnic were the big ethnic in Singapore. The military in Singapore was decreasing, so in Singapore for all female after finished senior high school must join in military academic. The rule for joining was obligated, because in Singapore needed the power of military although the population has a problem.
            For education in Singapore has increasing, especially for Math, Technology, English. Singapore has vision to be connected country for education. It means that Singapore wanted to be one of country that as place for international University. And there were many students from other countries that studied in Singapore. That was Singapore vision, exactly in Education substance. The relationship of Singapore and Indonesia was good, because they were neighbor country and also ASEAN members. I was very happy that day because that was interesting experiences in my life. And I will never forget it, I thing that’s all of my reflection for visiting Australia and Singapore Embassy. Thank you for Mom. Luz, and all of IELL lecturers. I am sorry if in my reflection there are many mistakes or I wrong in the date of the country.

Diary of Bajaj Race


Two days in Ambon
Dear diary, this is our first experience to go to Ambon.
First day, that day although we were tired because of our trip from Jakarta. But after we arrived in Ambon, we directly felt fresh. Because over there, the panorama was very beautiful. We took our Bajaj to look for the hotel, after we went around in that place for about an hour the last we found the hotel that was good. In that hotel for every window could directly see the beach, so that’s way we checked in the hotel. Then we looked for something to eat, in Ambon there were many food. So we were confused which one that we will choose, we decided to eat in Restaurant that located beside Siwalima Museum.
 The taste of the food was really delicious and we all enjoyed it. After we were full, we continued our trip in that place, we interested with Siwalima Museum so we visited that museum. That museum was unique because the building from that museum there were two. But the distance of two building was so far, until one or two hundred meters. Then in that place there were three skeletons of whale, and also the museum saved many Maluku’s culture and custom uniform. In the first door in Siwalima Museum there was a sentence. The sentence was “ Usu Mae Upu “ the meaning in English was “ please get in “ like that. After we were satisfied in that museum, we came back to our hotel by Bajaj.
On the way we saw many fisherman were going to the sea to look for the fishes. The unique one were they all together and make a line in the beach and one by one they took their bout and went to the sea. And that was very unique and we were amazed of them. So we stopped our Bajaj and stayed in that place for several minutes, one of us wanted to know that place so I asked one of seller in that place. I asked the name of that place to the seller and the seller answer if that place’s name was Natsepa beach. We were happy because we knew the name of that place and we also knew the location, so tomorrow we could visit that place. Then we continued to came back to the hotel. After we arrived in the hotel, we one by one took off from the Bajaj and went to bedroom.
 We took a shower first after that we were hungry so we look for restaurant again for our dinner. We took on our Bajaj and started to look for place for our dinner. And we found the good place, we directly got in and called the servant because we were very hungry. We asked the menu list to the servant and we were surprised because un that place every price of the food was expensive. Oh, we just smiled and chose the cheaper than other. We did not care with the taste because we were very hungry so we directly ate that food but after we taste it we all say “ mantap”. Although the price was cheap but the taste was very delicious. We all ate the food while we were sharing about our activities that day. We all very enjoyed that moment, we laugh together while some visitors in that restaurant were looking at us.
But we did not care about that, we just enjoyed at the moment. When we were full, we came back to our hotel by Bajaj. After we arrived in the hotel we directly washed our faces and had a talk together. But some of us were painful and sleepy so we went to our bedroom. Our planning for the next day was same that was went to Natsepa beach. That day we were happy because we could go for a walk in Ambon and also in that place there were many good places. One of us was mechanical, so he checked all the engine of our Bajaj because the next day we will go around in Natsepa beach.

Second day, we got up at 5 a.m. we prepare and we took a shower. We prepare many thing for our trip in Natsepa beach and also we did not forget to have breakfast first. After we completed our things so we directly took on Bajaj and started our trip. From hotel we just needed forty minutes to arrive in Natsepa beach, because the distance from hotel just 18 km. And the last we arrived in Natsepa beach, the ticket in Natsepa just one thousand for every one. That was very cheap, and for parker we just pay Rp. 1.500,00. We directly swam together but we did not forget to wear swimming cloth.
 Natsepa beach located in Suli village, central Maluku, in that place was very crowded because of there were many visitors. Although liked that we just enjoyed that moment because thepanorama in that place was very beautiful. We played water in the sea. Before 3 p.m. the water in Natsepa beach was called “ Air meti “ or withdraw water. In Natsepa beach also could cure some diseases such as influenza, fever, irritation, etc. Many citizen in Ambon said that if we swam in the Natsepa sea more than an hour we will get a magic, that could cure our diseases. So that’s way we all together swam and made true that perception. After we swam until an hour, one of our friend said “ hey guys, my influenza was lost” we were amazing and we believe that in Natsepa there was a magic.
 Then we dried ourselves and we took a boat to went around in Natsepa sea. And the boat could be taken 10 people until 15 people. But we just rent the boat for us, after we went around that place. We took off from boat and looked for some souvenir. And we saw a little souvenir shop in Natsepa, we directly went to that place.  When we got in that shop, we were amazed because many souvenir that were cute, beautiful and unique. But our money was not enough to buy many things, so we just bough the best souvenir over there. Although we were little sad but we all say “ never mind guys, the main point we visited this place”. After we bough souvenir, we interested with special food in Natsepa. It was “ rujak Natsepa “ and we got closed and peeped the price.
 Oh, bravo, we were happy because the price just 5000. So we collect our money to buy “ rujak Natsepa” . We all enjoyed it together. And we all said “ Mantap” because the taste was really delicious and hot. After we were satisfied with “ rujak Natsepa “ we came back to the hotel with our Bajaj. After we arrived in the hotel, we prepared to check out and came back to Jakarta. We were happy because we could visited Ambon together and used our Bajaj. That’s all of our experiences in Ambon.

My essay (IELL 3)


How to Implement Character Building at School ?
Now days in Indonesia there are many teenagers with the bad behavior, so that’s way we have to know how to solve that problem and decrease that case. They need the improvement in interest and quality of their character. We can apply character building to solve that problem early from school. Character building at school is we usually call this term as character education. That is applied to Nation curriculum method that explain about developing “good character “ for students. The definition of the character building is  the feature or facilities in school to make up character of one student and other students. The other words character building is an investment system of character values to the  citizen of school that include components of knowledge, awareness or volition and action to implement those values. The goal of character building is to establish the students personalities to become a good human being, society and citizen. It means that the teacher facilitate the students and increase the character of the students in order to achieve the purpose of character building. There are several steps of implement character building at school such as know the level of the student and tell them what is the rule, introduce about  trustworthy, applicant the habit about the respect to other.
First, we have to know when the basic period of the school that we should applicants character building. If we have decided about that, we will easier to applicant that program. The basic period of the school is Elementary school, because in Elementary is the first step of the students to know how to act and keep their behavior. The Elementary school is the strong foundation to build the character of the students. Because in that level of the students  can receive and will be interested with character building program at the school. Day by day they can usual to practice of character building in their school at their home. Students in all grade levels should have opportunities to practice values and character trait that range from role playing and making exercise. The good character of the students are made by rule at the school, teacher and their relationship with friends. So the first step to implement character building, we have to know when we do it and what grade that suitable. The point is teach the student to obey the rule at the school.
Second, for the students of elementary school. We have to introduce about trustworthy to them and explain how important trustworthy for them. Trustworthy contains several values such as honesty, reliable, courage, be good friend. The teacher teach the students be an honesty human and inform to them, if all students do not allow to cheat from their friends work when taking exam. The teacher give exercise to the students and ask them to collect their result of exercise punctual. The students will learn to keep their promise like as to collect their assignment punctual. Then to have the courage, the students should do what I right in the society based on norms and laws, although it is difficult enough for them but the teacher have to make them know about it. The last values of trustworthy is be a good friend, it is very important. How the students have that value as well as possible ? The teacher have to decide the class as a group discussion and each group has a leader. Trough this method the students can learn how to trust and believe in the group. So, second step to implement character building with concept the students to be trustworthy human.
Third, the next way to improve character of the students is give explanation about respect to others and how important is it. Respect contains three based values, such as respect to environment, respect for others, and respect for self. The teacher have to educate the students to care for natural environment, such as land, three, clean air, pure water and all of living inhabitants or our earth. The simple example is the teacher educate the students throw the rubbish to the dustbin, clean their class every day before the class begin. The students also have to be habitual to respect each others. For example they have to give greeting when they meet with their friends or their teacher at the school. The teacher have to teach the students how to great or say something in polite way when they do discussion. The students should appreciate what their friends have done. After some aspects, the students have been understood by the students. Then students can respect themselves. They will have a good habits and also they will know how to keep their behavior. So the good character of students are made by some aspects, one of the aspect is respect.
Based on the above explanation we can know that character building is very important for students to improve their skill individual. They can decide the good way to solved their problem in the real life. That explanation also can be affirmed that the character building design and implement systematically to help the students know about the values of human behavior associated with the feelings, attitude, action based on religious norm and truth law.  The students will more understand, how to use good way in their life. They need to see them themselves as students engaged in a continuing pursuit of excellent. These standard of excellent in school and behavior will encourage students to develop qualities like perseverance and determination and those virtues will affect every aspect of the students lives as they mature.   The important one is know the period age of the students. The students need several steps to understand how to do good behavior and good attitude. The facilities in their school like as character building will make the students to develop their qualities and determination. So, we can leave the students a legally that will remain constant throughout life to know the good, do the perfect and will get the best.
